What I'm Reading...
Shanghai Diary
Ursula Bacon
"As the Holocaust approached, many Jewish families in Germany fled to the only open port available to them:
Shanghai." This true story lived and written by Ursula Bacon.
My dad, thinks this is one of the best books he has ever read. I'm starting it today.

I, Robot
Alex Proyas, director
Suggested by book by- Isaac Asimov
Very slick, set in the not to distant future. Instead of a "chicken in every pot" there is a Robot in every
home. But with every good "Robot" story there is always the question of who is the master? Will Smith is excellent
in the role of a Chicago cop, in his "one man crusade" against the innocent looking, "blue eyed" creatures. This is a good
rental.
Six Feet Under (Season One)
Alan Ball, screenwriter
The last three episodes I watched were:
"Crossroads"
"Life's Too Short"
"The New Person"
I have discovered this HBO series through "Netflix".
I'm completely hooked, amused, and sometimes shocked with this series.
It's about a Los Angeles-based family that operates a funeral home. The characters are real and very original.
It's dark, and very engaging. Each episode starts out with a "death", and the decesed ends up at the funeral home. Very cool.

What I'm Listening to...
The Polar Express (Soundtrack)
Great "holiday" music!
For most of the month of December I listened to this disc.
My favorite: "Believe" by Josh Groban
The disc also includes some great old Christmas favorites.
